You’ve heard of shared e-bikes. Now check out Veo’s new shared e-trike
This is transportation news, not a home energy story, but worth a quick note if you're curious about local mobility options. Veo, a shared micromobility company, has launched what it calls North America's first shared electric trike, called the Rover, in downtown Denver. Unlike the two-wheeled e-bikes and scooters you may have seen parked on city corners, the Rover has three wheels for better stability, a throttle to reduce pedaling effort, and a top speed of 10 mph. It also has front and rear baskets that can carry up to 100 pounds, useful for grocery runs or errands.
Veo developed the trike over more than two years, working with disability advocates, older riders, and community groups to make shared micromobility more accessible to people who don't feel comfortable balancing on a bike or scooter. The first fleet of 50 Rovers is now running in downtown Denver, part of the roughly 9,000 shared vehicles Veo already operates there. The company says it will watch how riders use the trikes before deciding whether to expand beyond downtown.
There's no rebate or upgrade angle here for your house. It's simply a look at how one city is testing a new option for getting around without a car, aimed especially at people for whom a standard e-bike or scooter isn't a practical fit.
