You Can Now Get The Kia EV3 At US Dealerships — Dream EV!

October 11, 2026 · CleanTechnica · Score: 28

Kia's EV3, a compact electric SUV, has arrived at US dealerships for the 2027 model year. Pricing starts at $29,890 for the base Light front-wheel-drive trim, with the lineup running up to $45,890 for the top GT all-wheel-drive version, plus a $1,495 destination charge on all trims. Range tops out at an EPA-estimated 321 miles on certain front-wheel-drive trims, with other versions offering 221 to 280 miles depending on battery and drivetrain.

The car uses a native NACS charging port, the same plug standard used by Tesla's network, so it can connect directly to many public fast chargers without an adapter. On a DC fast charger, it can go from 10 to 80 percent charge in as little as 29 to 31 minutes depending on the battery size. For homeowners thinking about home charging, the EV3 also offers optional vehicle-to-load power, which lets the car run devices like a laptop or coffee maker, and an available vehicle-to-home setup using a bidirectional Wallbox charger. That system can send power from the car's battery back into the house during peak-rate hours to cut electricity costs, and with an added power recovery unit, it can keep parts of the home running during an outage.

For anyone cross-shopping EVs, the EV3 is notable mainly for undercutting many competitors on price while still offering long range and fast charging. It's built in Mexico for the North American market.
