The Juiced Bikes Scrambler — CleanTechnica Tested
This news is about an ebike, not a home energy upgrade, so it won't affect your rebate plans or retrofit projects. But if you're weighing electric bikes as a way to cut car trips, here's what's new.
Juiced Bikes, a maker of long-range, durable ebikes that went bankrupt in 2024 and was bought by Lectric eBikes in early 2025, is back with an updated version of its Scrambler model. It's a motorcycle-style ebike popular with teens, built with a single gear and a powerful motor. Out of the box it's set up as a legal Class 2 ebike, with motor power capped at 750 watts and assist limited to 20 mph, though it can be switched to unlock far more power for off-road "race mode." Reviewers found it better suited to throttle-only riding than pedaling, thanks to its wide, motorcycle-style seat and single-speed gearing.
The battery is rated for about 60 miles per charge with some pedaling help, or around 40 miles running on throttle alone. It comes with knobby all-terrain tires, hydraulic disc brakes, adjustable suspension, and a three-year warranty. A dual-battery version offers close to double the range. There's also a parental lock that limits top speed and requires a PIN to change. No price was given in the coverage, so anyone curious about cost would need to check the manufacturer's site directly.
