Summit Combines HVAC Education, Networking, Awards

October 6, 2026 · ACHR News · Score: 18

This is a story about an HVAC industry gathering, not something that directly affects decisions about your own home. Last month, more than 250 heating and cooling contractors met in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, for the National Comfort Institute's annual High-Performance HVAC Summit. The event mixed training sessions, panel talks, and networking, with topics like leadership, sales strategy, and balancing new technology with hands-on craftsmanship.

The summit also handed out awards to contracting companies and individuals recognized for strong performance, training, and service, drawn from across North America. Categories included small, medium, and large contractor of the year, along with awards for technical skill, sales, training, and leadership.

None of this changes rebate programs, equipment costs, or technology available to homeowners. It is simply a professional conference where contractors swap ideas and recognize peers in the industry. The event is set to return to Pigeon Forge in September 2027.
