StellarNet expands RadiantSuite irradiance measurement software

July 20, 2026 · Solar Power World · Score: 18

A company called StellarNet has updated its RadiantSuite software, a tool used to measure and monitor sunlight intensity and quality (called solar spectral irradiance) for research and testing purposes. The update adds a way to stream live measurement data over the internet or local networks, so equipment can track changing sun conditions in real time and archive that data over long periods.

This news is aimed at researchers, equipment makers, and companies that test solar panels and monitoring systems, not at homeowners with rooftop solar. The software works with specialized measurement devices called spectroradiometers, which are lab and field instruments, not something installed on a house.

There is nothing here that changes what a homeowner would do about solar panels, rebates, or energy upgrades. It is a behind-the-scenes tool update for the solar industry's testing and monitoring side, not a new product, incentive, or technology that affects home installations.
