Royal Enfield’s Flying Flea electric motorcycle finally goes global, revealing its Western price
This one's about transportation, not home energy upgrades, but here's the gist: Royal Enfield's electric motorcycle sub-brand, Flying Flea, has launched its C6 model in Europe and the UK, after starting out in India. Pricing is set at €5,990 in Europe and £5,300 in the UK, with deliveries starting in October. The initial rollout covers cities including Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Berlin, and London.
The C6 is a lightweight electric motorcycle with a small 3.91 kWh battery, a 15.4 kW motor, and a top speed of about 71 mph. Its rated range is 65 miles under European testing standards, though real-world range is likely lower. Charging from 20% to 80% takes about 65 minutes. At 273 pounds, it's notably lighter than many full-size electric motorcycles, though its price is higher than many competing electric motorcycles from Chinese manufacturers with similar or better specs. Much of that cost reflects build quality, details like a forged-aluminum frame and magnesium battery case, and backing from an established manufacturer with a dealer and service network.
There's still no launch date or pricing for the US market. Flying Flea's American website says pricing will come later, which suggests the company hasn't abandoned plans to sell here, even if a US launch may take longer given that lightweight urban motorcycles have historically sold better in Europe than in the US.
