Nextpower posts record $3.56 billion FY26 revenue, raises 2027 outlook

July 31, 2026 · PV Magazine USA · Score: 23

Nextpower, the company known for solar tracker systems (the equipment that tilts solar panels to follow the sun), reported record revenue of $3.56 billion for its fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, up 20% from the year before. The growth came from large-scale solar projects, expanding manufacturing, and new product lines as the company moves beyond trackers into power electronics, battery storage, and data center energy systems. Its order backlog now tops $5.25 billion.

The company also struck a multi-year deal with JinkoSolar's U.S. operations to secure steel module frames made domestically, and it agreed to acquire power conversion technology from Apex Power, pending approval from Spanish regulators. These moves point toward more U.S.-based manufacturing of solar equipment and related hardware.

For homeowners, this is a utility-scale industry story rather than something tied to home rebates or incentives. Nextpower's business is large solar farms and grid infrastructure, not residential installations. Still, the push toward more domestic manufacturing of solar and energy-storage components could matter over time if it affects the supply chain, pricing, or availability of related equipment. The company raised its financial outlook for fiscal 2027, now projecting revenue between $3.8 billion and $4.1 billion, reflecting confidence in continued demand for large-scale clean energy infrastructure. None of this changes existing home energy rebate programs or upgrade incentives, but it does signal continued growth and investment in the broader solar and storage industry that homeowners' own upgrades are part of.
