Labor Day Green Deals hub – EVs, power stations, tools, smart devices, more

This is a Labor Day sale roundup covering electric bikes, scooters, portable power stations, yard tools, and smart home gadgets, mostly from a shopping and tech site rather than an energy-efficiency source. Little of it applies directly to home energy upgrades, but a few items are worth noting for homeowners thinking about backup power or yard equipment.

Several brands are discounting portable power stations, which can serve as backup batteries during outages: EcoFlow models starting around $299, Anker SOLIX units from $231, Jackery's 4,096Wh HomePower 2000 Plus V2 bundle at $1,579, and a 5,040Wh Jackery Explorer 5000 Plus at a steep discount. Bluetti also has a new 1,004.8Wh Elite 100 Mini starting at $408. These aren't whole-home backup systems, but they can run appliances or medical devices for a stretch during a power interruption.

On the yard and tools side, there are discounts on battery-powered outdoor equipment that replaces gas tools, including EGO cordless chainsaws, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers, plus Greenworks electric pressure washers, pole saws, and cultivators. Robotic lawn mowers from Segway Navimow and ECOVACS are also discounted. A smart thermostat, the ecobee Smart Thermostat Essential, is marked down to $90, which is the one item here tied most directly to home energy use, since smart thermostats can help manage heating and cooling costs. The rest of the sale, covering phones, laptops, headphones, and gaming gear, has no bearing on home energy upgrades.
