Kia reveals EV3 offers and deals, including a $1,500 customer cash discount

September 21, 2026 · Electrek · Score: 0

This is car pricing news, not a home energy story, but here's what's happening if you're cross-shopping an EV alongside home upgrades like a charger install.

Kia's 2027 EV3, a compact electric SUV, is now on sale starting at $29,890, making it one of the more affordable EVs alongside the new Chevy Bolt and Nissan LEAF. It comes in five trims with two battery options: a smaller 58.3 kWh pack good for 221 miles of range, or an 81.4 kWh pack good for up to 321 miles. All-wheel drive adds $3,200. Every trim has a NACS charging port, so it can plug into Tesla Superchargers without an adapter. Kia is currently advertising leases starting at $349 a month for the EV3 Wind front-wheel-drive model, with $3,999 due at signing over 24 months, plus a $1,500 customer cash discount on all 2027 EV3 models and 0.90% APR financing for up to 48 months. Once fees are factored in, the effective monthly cost works out closer to $515.

For comparison, the Chevy Bolt EV works out to about $561 a month, while the Hyundai IONIQ 5 comes in close at roughly $527 a month with its own current discounts. If you're weighing an EV purchase alongside plans for a home charger or other electrical upgrades, these lease and financing terms are worth noting, though incentives like this change often and vary by location.
