Jasion Hunter Pro review: A folding fat tire full-suspension e-bike for cheap

July 6, 2026 · Electrek · Score: 0

This is a product review, not an energy-efficiency or rebate story, so it does not connect to home upgrades or utility costs in the way Retrofit Relay usually covers. Still, here is what it says.

The Jasion Hunter Pro is a $999 electric bike with fat tires, a folding frame, and full suspension, features that used to be rare at this price. It has a 1,000-watt rear motor (advertised at 1,800 watts peak), a 720 watt-hour battery, hydraulic disc brakes, and a claimed top pedal-assist speed of 28 mph. Jasion says it can go up to 80 miles on a charge, though that number reflects ideal conditions rather than typical use with heavy throttle.

The reviewer found the bike solid but unremarkable: brakes and power delivery are better than expected for the price, the suspension smooths out rough pavement and light trails without being plush, and the bike rides well both as a commuter (it comes with a rack, fenders, lights, and turn signals) and for casual off-pavement rides. Drawbacks include a basic 7-speed drivetrain, a cadence sensor rather than the smoother torque sensors found on pricier bikes, and a folded weight of 82 pounds that makes it awkward to carry despite folding down for storage.

The overall verdict is that this is a good value for someone who wants a full-suspension folding fat-tire e-bike around $1,000, with realistic expectations rather than premium performance.
