Jackery SolarVault 3 Shows Potential To Scale From Balcony To Whole Home

September 18, 2026 · CleanTechnica · Score: 23

Jackery showed off a new home battery system, called SolarVault 3, that's built to grow with you. Instead of buying one big battery upfront, you start small: a couple of solar panels and a 2.52 kWh main battery module, which cost a few hundred euros for the battery alone or a little over a thousand with panels. From there, you can add more 2.52 kWh expansion batteries yourself, no professional installer needed, as your needs or budget change. The panels are lightweight and flexible, and some versions work bifacially, meaning they capture light from both sides, so they perform better even when they're not angled perfectly toward the sun.

The system can plug into a standard wall outlet to charge, and it can also pull in solar power directly. On the German market, output is capped at 800 watts when connected to the grid, though it can supply more when running independent of the grid. For those who want more capacity, Jackery also showed a combined setup linking three of these balcony systems together with a separate hub, pushing total storage up to 45 kWh, enough for many homes, and coordinated by software that manages energy use automatically.

This system is aimed at renters or first-time homeowners who want to ease into battery storage rather than commit to a large, expensive, professionally installed system right away. It's designed to last more than 15 years, comes with a 10-year warranty, and can move with you if you relocate. Pricing and availability details beyond what's noted above were not specified.
