Hyundai and Genesis EV drivers can now score a 20% discount on IONNA charging
If you drive a Hyundai or Genesis EV, you can now save 20% on charging at IONNA stations. Hyundai is offering a 10% discount on all IONNA charging sessions, and IONNA is automatically adding another 10% on top of that. The discount applies automatically if you use Hyundai's in-app charging or Plug & Charge feature through the MyHyundai with Bluelink app. The extra 10% bonus from IONNA runs through September 30.
Eligible vehicles include the Hyundai IONIQ 5 (model year 2022 and newer), IONIQ 5 N (2025 and newer), IONIQ 9 (2026 and newer), and Kona Electric (2025 and newer), along with the Genesis GV60 and Electrified GV70 (both 2026 and newer). Your car needs to support in-app charging or Plug & Charge to get the discount — Hyundai says more models will gain this capability over time, which should open the discount up to more drivers down the road.
For homeowners who charge mostly at home, this mainly matters for road trips or times when your home charger isn't an option. If you own one of these EVs, checking whether your app is set up for in-app charging or Plug & Charge could mean a meaningful discount at public fast chargers over the next several weeks. Beyond that window, it's worth keeping an eye on whether Hyundai extends the offer or expands it to more models.
