Several HVAC manufacturers and suppliers are raising prices this September, with increases ranging from 5% to 15% depending on the product line, and some further increases of up to 6% later in the month. Bard is raising prices on service parts only, starting September 1. OmegaFlex is adding a 6% increase on its TracPipe piping products, also effective September 1. Jones Stephens is applying a 5% to 15% increase across various product groups starting September 3. Later in the month, M&M Manufacturing and Snappy are each adding increases of up to 6%, effective September 21.
These are supplier-level price changes on parts and components rather than a specific list of finished furnaces, air conditioners, or heat pumps. Still, increases like these tend to work their way into the cost of installing or repairing HVAC equipment over time, since contractors' material costs go up. If you're planning a heating or cooling upgrade, or expect to need repair parts soon, it may be worth asking for a quote sooner rather than later, since suppliers have already locked in these new prices for September. There's no word here on whether further increases are planned beyond this month.
