Eight petroleum liquids pipeline projects have been completed since the start of 2025
This news is about oil and gas infrastructure, not home energy upgrades, but here's what it covers. Federal energy data shows that between January 2025 and June 2026, eight pipeline projects for crude oil and related liquid fuels were finished across the country, mostly in Texas. These include new and expanded pipelines carrying crude oil, natural gas liquids (byproducts of oil and gas production used for fuel and chemicals), and refined products like gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel. Projects included a new 550-mile pipeline in West Texas, expansions of existing lines near Corpus Christi and in the Permian Basin, a restart of two idle pipelines in California, and conversions of existing pipelines from one fuel type to another.
Fourteen more pipeline projects have been announced for the future, including expansions in Texas, Louisiana, Wyoming, and elsewhere, along with work on Enbridge's mainline system and a new connector project in Illinois.
None of this directly affects home energy costs or efficiency programs. It reflects ongoing buildout of the pipeline network that moves crude oil and fuel products around the country, tracked in a federal database that has followed more than 280 such projects since 2010. For a homeowner, this is background context on the broader energy system rather than something that changes rebates, incentives, or upgrade options for your own house.
