Chevy Blazer EV prices remain the same for 2027 despite a few upgrades
This is car news, not a home energy story, but it touches on EV charging, which matters if you're thinking about a home charger.
Chevy's 2027 Blazer EV keeps the same prices as last year despite a few upgrades. The base LT front-wheel-drive model starts at $44,700, the RS starts at $50,500, and the performance SS all-wheel-drive version starts at $60,700 (all before a $1,795 destination fee). All-wheel drive adds $3,000.
The main change is a switch to NACS, the Tesla-style charging port, which is now standard. This gives owners direct access to Tesla's Supercharger network, over 250,000 chargers across North America, without needing an adapter. GM will still sell adapters so drivers can use CCS charging equipment, including many home Level 2 chargers, an important detail if you already have a home charging setup built around the older plug standard. GM began this shift to NACS across its EV lineup last year, starting with the Cadillac Optiq.
The 2027 Blazer also adds an optional eight-speaker Bose sound system, standard on the top SS trim and available on lower trims through a Super Cruise driver-assist package, which now costs $3,795. Battery-powered range stays at up to 312 miles for front-wheel-drive versions and 302 miles for the SS.
If you're weighing an EV purchase against home charger costs or rebates, the charging-port change is the detail worth noting: it affects which plug type and home charging equipment will work best with the car.
