Bosch Introduces Line of Portable Home Dehumidifiers

July 18, 2026 · ACHR News · Score: 26

Bosch Home Comfort has launched its first line of portable dehumidifiers for U.S. and Canadian homes, called the Dry Series. It comes in two models aimed at different room sizes. The Dry 2000 pulls up to 22 pints of moisture a day and covers spaces up to 1,500 square feet, with a 1.5-gallon water tank that has a viewing window and an option for continuous drainage instead of manual emptying. The Dry 4000 handles larger areas, removing up to 35 pints a day across up to 3,000 square feet, and adds wheels for moving it between rooms.

Both units are meant for basements, bedrooms, and living areas where excess moisture can be a problem. They include three operating modes: an automatic mode that adjusts fan speed to hold humidity between 40% and 70% (55% is the default) and saves energy once that level is reached; a quiet night mode that slows the fan and turns off lights for sleeping; and a turbo mode that runs the fan at full speed to dry out a heavily damp room quickly, showing real-time moisture readings as it works.

For a homeowner dealing with a damp basement, musty smells, or humidity that affects comfort and indoor air quality, this gives a new option to consider, with a size to match either a single room or a larger multi-room space. No pricing or availability date was included in the announcement.
