33 HVAC Contractors Make the 2026 Inc. 5000 List

August 25, 2026 · ACHR News · Score: 24

Inc. Magazine has released its 2026 Inc. 5000 list, an annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. This year, 33 HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) contractors made the list, along with several companies that support the industry, such as marketing firms, a warranty provider, and a maker of HVAC chemicals and products.

To qualify for the list, companies had to be privately held, for-profit, based in the U.S., and not owned by another company. They also needed at least $100,000 in revenue in 2022 and at least $2 million in 2025. Growth is measured as the percentage increase in revenue over that three-year period, and this year's honorees had a median growth rate of 130 percent. Among the non-contractor companies recognized were marketing firms Rival Digital and Red Barn Media Group, warranty provider JB Warranties, and Refrigeration Technologies, a supplier of HVAC chemicals making its fifth consecutive appearance on the list.

For a homeowner, this news is mostly a snapshot of which HVAC companies are expanding quickly, not something that changes your options for upgrades or rebates directly. It can be useful background if you're researching contractors and want to know which ones are growing fast and gaining recognition in the industry, but it doesn't affect what you're eligible for or when.
